THE STORY BEHIND “UNDER THE WINGS OF A DOVE” [ Purchase CD ] Casa Pacifica Music Program Director Jill Ball teaches students music appreciation, instrumental skills, singing, rhythm, music notation and how to be a responsible group member. Each student has avaluable contribution to the entire team’s success. Casa Pacifica’s administration requested the students write a song that incorporates its logo and mission. The students responded by writing Under the Wings of a Dove and recording it at Burbank’s Dawghouse Studio under the direction of Jill and her husband Tom. Songwriter/producer Mike Himelstein and producer Mike Turner helped record vocals,cello,piano and flute partsplayed by Casa Pacifica students,volunteers and staff. Casa Pacifica’s music students are encouraged by their first recording and are inspired to write more songs.
